music: nickel creek 11.18.02 - wilson hall auditorium - jmu

holy geez, i haven't updated this thing in forever. well, what's been going on with me???? lots and lots of stuff actually. i guess i should recap from where i left off last time:

11.8 - met up with justine after her class, then we were off to vienna to pick up duncan, before heading down to norfolk to see jack johnson. well, things didn't quite work out that way. got a flat not 5mins away from duncan's house. erg. after finally getting to his house, packed up, figured out something for the tire issue, duncan, justine, and i headed out towards norfolk around 6:00 or so. an hour and half later, we were about 35miles south of duncan's house on I-95. pulled off to get some gas and make executive decision as to whether or not we were gonna keep going, cause the traffic absolutely sucked. decided to bail on the show and head back to duncan's. ended up enjoying a nice evening just relaxing after what had been a very stressful day, watched 'american pie 2' and then got some sleep, as justine and i had a very big weekend ahead of us.
11.9 - got up and headed up to justine's house to meet up with her mom, then headed off to psu for the uva vs. psu game @ penn state. got to check off one of the stadiums on THE LIST (of stadiums to see a college football game). being 1 of the 108,698 spectators in attendance was something to behold, though the crowd was as influential as i had imagined it would be. too bad we lost. oh well.
11.10 - the big day. got up very early to head over with justine to her church in york for her dad and stepmom's vow renewing ceremony. met her dad. OH MY. after church, justine and her dad gave me a tour of downtown york which was very cool. :) then we went back to the house for dinner, after which justine and i had to get back on the road to head back to school.

survived the meeting with the dad. yay!! wasn't as bad as i thought it was gonna be, and he approved of me, or so i've been told, so this is very good as well.

neeeeeeeeeeext weekend........

11.15 - 11.17 - went and spent the weekend with justine. dropped her off @ the salvation army for her volunteering thing around 12:30 friday. then headed up to duncan's that night to pick up the rig to tape nickel creek monday night. stopped by friendly's for some quality ice cream :) whitney was home so it was good to see her again! went to bed with intentions of getting up early to head back to school for our home game against nc state. kinda woke up @ 2:30pm. game was @ noon. oops. ahh well, we won. justine and i had a very nice, relaxing 3-month anniversary. life is so wonderful with her in it. :) we stopped by crate & barrel and tysons' corner before we headed back to jmu for the night. good stuff. great ideas brewing. :) came back to uva sunday to get some work done.

finally the present......

11.18 - went to see nickel creek @ jmu last night with justine. had a very nice dinner @ madison grill before the show. had a minor taping issue (i couldn't have a mic stand since i was in the balcony. blah.) but i dealt, and taped from my lap. show was absolutely incredible, and the tape came out surprisingly well given my taping conditions. justine looked absolutely stunning last night, so much so that i could barely contain myself. it was a perfect way to end and otherwise somewhat dismal day.

back in cville, school work is piling up, but i'm maintaining. went to check on my job apps today, and ended up having 2 on the spot interviews at old navy. wow. definitely wasn't expecting that. hopefully i hear something soon from all the jobs, so i have options. now i'm kinda just chillin. took a nap earlier. very much needed. wondering where justine is...... :( hopefully she'll be back soon, seeing as it's already 20mins to 1!! eeek!! *sigh*

ok, that's enough for now. i'll try to keep this updated more regularly.

babe, i love you so very much. you make everything in my life better. you complete me.
